Joy of Sound recording projects made by session participants, volunteers and associated musicians, producers and sound artists.
Katie arrived at JOS in 2016 and we soon realised that she is a naturally gifted singer songwriter, so we asked if she would like to write a song about her experience, and to share how it feels to volunteer at JOS
Katie’s song ‘It Ain’t Necessarily So’ is the result. It emerged as a collaboration with JOS volunteers and participants at our Portobello Road workshops.
The tracks below are from our CD recorded at St Peter’s Church
This album embodies Joy of Sound’s exploration of Sonic Arts.
The recording of a JOS performance at The Redmond Centre was offered to a selection of Sonic Artists to explore and interpret in the form of a contributed track for the album.
Joy of Sound’s interest in Sonic Arts is based upon recognizing a common root: the reasoning of the human condition through the medium of sound.
